We love families at Beacon. Children can take part in age-appropriate programmes during our Sunday services that are fun, safe, and faith-building. Our trained team is dedicated to creating a great experience for every child.
When you arrive, feel free to come in and sit wherever you like. Our team will invite you to visit the Welcome Lounge, where you can enjoy a free drink, receive a small gift, and ask any questions you may have. The Welcome Lounge is located to the left of the front entrance.
Beacon Church is a smoke-free environment. Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the building or near entrances, helping to keep the space welcoming for everyone.
From time to time, photos or videos may be taken during services and events for church communications and social media. We always aim to be respectful of privacy. If you’d prefer not to be included, please let a member of our team know.
All our services are free to attend. We do take a voluntary offering for those who wish to give, but there is never any pressure or expectation.

Yes. Beacon Church is committed to being an accessible and welcoming space for everyone. Our building has step-free access, accessible seating, and disabled toilets. If you have specific access needs, please let us know in advance or speak to a member of our Car Park Team when you arrive, they’ll be happy to help.
Free parking is available on-site on a first-come, first-served basis. There is also plenty of free parking on nearby streets, including Oakes Road, Trevethan Close, and Anglian Way.
Communion is a symbolic moment where we remember Jesus, usually held once a month toward the end of the service. You’ll receive a cup with juice and a wafer as you arrive (gluten-free available). The service leader will explain everything and we take communion together in our seats — you’re welcome to join in or simply observe.
We gather every Sunday at 8.45am, 10.15am, and 11.45am for our main services, both in person and online. Throughout the week, we also meet in smaller groups across the town.
Beacon Church meets on Oakes Road in Bury St Edmunds, with on-site parking available. If it’s your first visit, our friendly team will be on hand to help you find your way and feel at home.
